Accommodation

Kurumba Maldives offers an array of eight styles of accommodation, ranging from Superior to the Royal Residence, spread amongst the island’s lush tropical gardens with easy access to the beach. Blending rich woods and high-ceilings with the warmth of Maldivian style and design, each room provides a comfortable sanctuary throughout your stay.

Each room is complemented by a walk-in dressing room and bathroom with sandstone tiles, stand-alone tub and indoor and outdoor showers.  All bedrooms comes equipped with an in-room safe, private minibar, tea/coffee facilities, satellite TV, internet connection and amenities that have been created by aromatherapists to complement your stay.

Royal Kurumba Residence

A highlight of luxurious living, the Royal Residence is a two-bedroom suite with two swimming pools and a spacious sundeck overlooking the beach. The entrance is through a courtyard over a bridge spanning an ornamental pool with a thatched pavilion and daybeds on either side. A patio gives access to a foyer and large sitting room, complete with butler's pantry and guest washroom. Doors on either side of the foyer open into the two wings of the Royal Residence; each wing has a walk-in dressing room, bedroom with king-sized four-poster bed, verandah onto the beach and a large, luxurious bathroom leading to a private courtyard with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, outdoor shower and shaded king-sized daybed.

Presidential Villa

The Presidential Villas are tastefully appointed to ensure your privacy and comfort throughout your stay. There is a master bedroom on the upper-level with a king-sized four-poster bed overlooking the beach and ocean. This level also features a walk-in dressing room, bathroom with separate glass-walled shower and central marble-sided bathtub, and Jacuzzi set in a thatched-roof tower. There is a large sitting room off the beachfront verandah on the ground floor which leads out to the beach and lagoon and a private swimming pool in an enclosed courtyard.

Pool Villa

The spacious Pool Villas feature a large bedroom, sitting room and verandah that lead to the beachfront gardens. A private courtyard features a swimming pool, complete with Jacuzzi, set in a peaceful garden with a thatched roof daybed pavilion for relaxation and sunning decks.

Private Villa

The Private Villas are idyllically located on prime beachfront and are consistently the favourite choice for guests seeking spacious comfort and privacy. Featuring large bedroom, adjoining sitting room and verandah steps away from the lagoon, the villa is also complemented with a spacious bathroom with a glass-walled shower, bath tub and open courtyard complete with a "rain shower" under a traditional thatched awning and a garden Jacuzzi.

Garden Villa

Set in tropical gardens, these villas provide a roomy bedroom and sitting room, perfect for families and couples who desire a spacious getaway. Large bathrooms feature a glass-walled shower, separate bathtub and an open courtyard complete with a “rain shower” under a traditional thatched awning and a private Jacuzzi. 

Deluxe Bungalow

Deluxe Bungalows dot the island, nestled amongst tropical gardens within a short stroll from the beach. While away quiet afternoons lounging on the daybed of the terrace patio enjoying the sea breeze. The high-ceilinged bedroom is warm and airy. A spacious bathroom complete with two washbasins, a glass-walled shower, a free-standing bathtub and an open-air sand and stone-floored shower garden.

Deluxe Room

Just a few steps to the beach, the Deluxe Rooms are comfortably appointed and decorated. Featuring large bathrooms with open shower and separate tub, these rooms are perfect for couples.

Superior Room   

Roomy accommodation with either beach-view terrace or private balcony. The bedroom leads to a bright sizeable bathroom partly open to the sky. Superior rooms are available with either ground floor access or second storey access.

Bed & Breakfast

With the Bed & Breakfast plan, guests enjoy a full international breakfast buffet at Vihamana, the resort's main restaurant.
Though not included on this dining plan, guests are free to dine at any of the other restaurants on the resort at their own leisure.
All room rates include breakfast.

Full Board

On the Full Board plan, guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Vihamana, the main restaurant.

Dine Around Premium

The Dine Around Premium plan is the best dining option, offering guests the choice to dine at any of our operating restaurants (except for the Ocean Grill Restaurant), along with a range of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during lunch and dinner. With seven restaurants to choose from, this plan is your passport for dining enjoyment at Kurumba.

Vihamana (Main Restaurant)

The main restaurant at Kurumba Maldives offers fresh buffets with a wide array of dishes for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. With a different themed buffet every night, the restaurant provides a true dining experience.

Examples of our range of evening themed buffets include Maldivian Night, Tastes of Asia, Senses & Spices, South American, International, Pan Asian and Mediterranean. Vihamana is always a fresh experience.

Ocean Grill

The Ocean Grill is located on the edge of the beach with an overwater deck offering a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. The menu is inspired by Maldivian and Indian Ocean cuisine, matched with quality grills that are seasoned with flavoured salts and spices.
Ocean Grill is about discovering the taste of the Maldives in a beach-side al fresco setting.

The Hamakaze

Meaning “Ocean Winds", Hamakaze is the Sushi Bar and Teppen-yaki counter serving a unique style of cuisine from the Land of the Rising Sun. Your chef will prepare and cook your meal in front of you with skill and flair. With a selection of ocean fresh seafood and much more, Hamakaze is an enjoyable and lively dining experience.

Al Qasr

Experience Arabian Nights at Kurumba Maldives. Come and savour fare from the mystical Middle East.  Grand palatial décor does justice to its name, Al Qasr - The Palace.

Set with Arabic and other Middle Eastern artefacts, Al Qasr serves traditional Lebanese specialties - charcoal grilled meats, succulent kebabs, mezze and a variety of dips.

Kurumba Mahal

Cuisine from the far reaches of Northern India. On offer is a mouthwatering selection of traditionally cooked authentic dishes with an emphasis on flavour - flavoursome tandoories, curries - some spicy, others subtle - naan and paratta breads and sweet desserts combine to create a dinner fit for a Maharaja

Kurumba Mahal is a favourite amongst guests, providing a special experience and whilst it caters for everyones tastes, lovers of Indian food will be deeply impressed.

Ming Court

Serving a wide selection of traditional dishes from the Canton and Schezuan regions of China, Ming Court offers wonderful flavours of the East set in a contemporary Oriental setting.

La Cucina   

Italian cuisine, served in an elegant setting with friendly and warm service. The menu is modern yet inspired by the hearty flavours of Tuscany and Lombardy, Sardinia and Sicily.

Kurumba Café

Located opposite the main pool, Kurumba Café is the laid back all-day dining restaurant at Kurumba Maldives. For a selection of international favourites, including sandwiches, burgers, pizza and Asian favourites, the Café is the perfect place to grab a quick bite or a meal.

The Kurumba Café menu is also available at poolside tables, and on Raha Beach at poolside, where you can dine with your feet in the sand under a palm tree looking at the ocean.

The Beach Bar

For many guests, the evening begins at the Beach Bar (not to mention, many an afternoon!!) for enjoying the lovely twilight hours while sipping creative cocktails.  This open-air pavilion features a wide overwater deck, perfect for enjoying the passing marine life throughout the day and night. A combination of live bands and djs, as well as a vast selection of cool chill-out tunes creates a relaxed mood for many an enjoyable evening. 

Sand Bar

Located on the western end of the island, this bar is perfect for a refreshing beverage or light snack with your feet in the sand. This is an ideal place to watch the sun setting over the Indian Ocean.

Diving & Snorkelling

Kurumba Maldives is one of the premier diving resorts in the Maldives, located inside the Atoll and is surrounded by wave breakers which allows for snorkelling right around the island. With generally low levels of current and a quality House Reef in turquoise waters, snorkelling here is an enjoyable experience.  The island’s House Reef is a vibrant ecosystem and invites exploration both in the lagoon and outside on the reef.

The top of the Kurumba House Reef is approximately 1-2 metres deep and slopes down to 10 – 30m (80m on the south side) from the edge to the sandy bottom below. Progressing a little at a time, you will discover the wonders of the coral reef: millions of years of coral growth forming an island that teems with life both above and below the waters contributing to an enchanting Maldives scuba diving adventure.

Weddings

Renew your Vows in Paradise...with sand beneath your feet and wind in your hair, live a timeless moment when you are one with nature. Kurumba offers you one of the most stunning Maldives wedding venues along with a host of distinguished services and facilities to ensure a memorable event.

The ritual commences at 2:00pm with a couple’s 60-minute spa treatment to help you relax for the afternoon ahead. After changing into your attire, you will be escorted by flower girls and traditional Maldivian drums from the room to the beach for your Renewal of Vows. Your ritual with be conducted by a Master of Ceremony. Champagne and canapés are served on the beach while you enjoy the sunset. Dinner is then served in a private beach setting, the waves lapping at your feet whilst the chef cooks you a special Honeymoon BBQ. The following morning, a champagne breakfast will be served on the beach or in your room.
