Laluna
Laluna
With a strictly limited number of guests and an emphasis on the individual, the luxury of Laluna is expressed in the character of this romantic beach front Caribbean hideaway, which gently embraces a wonderful sense of style, enveloping good humour and warm friendships.
The concept for the entire property is minimalistic, in which Indonesian material, combine with Italian elements, all come together to create that right touch of Caribbean romance that will refresh your mind and excite your curiosity. The construction of Laluna is based on an ancient Mediterranean formula in which specially treated cement is individually impregnated with pigments of inviting colours such as warm cinnamon, sienna, and sun-kissed yellow. This cement is used to form the walls of all the buildings of Laluna, giving the property smooth sensuous curves and cool interiors.
Serving as the nerve center for the property, the complex consists of several low-lying wooden and cement buildings with overhanging thatched roofs. Open and airy, the Club House overlooks the large fresh-water swimming pool, which in turn overlooks the resort’s secluded white sand beach. This building houses the administration offices, reception, bar and restaurant.
Set on the southwestern tip of the island of Grenada, this exclusive resort is surrounded by emerald green hills and a pristine white sand beach.
Laluna does not offer transfers to and from the airport, due to an agreement with the Airport Taxi Association. However, Laluna is only a 15 minute drive from the Point Salines International Airport and plenty of taxis are always available at the arrival gate. The cost is approximately US$20.
The 16 one and two bedroom private guest cottages of La Luna are open plan to take advantage of the view. Generously sized and tastefully appointed bedroom, featuring king-sized beds, that open onto an expansive veranda with a private plunge pool, framed in natural cotton fabric that serves as an indoor/outdoor living room.
The unique open air bathrooms feature a shower with an ocean view.
All the cottages at Laluna are identical in size, shape and amenities although they have different colour schemes. The difference between them is purely location, either on the beach or at differing heights above the beach on the hillside. They all have ocean views ranging from slightly obscured due to the trees to positively breathtaking.
