Discovering colonial Havana is an additional pleasure for the guests of the Hotel Inglaterra, the oldest hotel in Cuba, which soon will celebrate its 130th anniversary.
Inaugurated in 1875, the Inglaterra is currently one of the oldest and most classic hotels in the city. The building has been declared a National Monument due to its value as part of Cuba 's heritage. Its beautiful neoclassical façade contrasts with its interior decor, which recreates the atmosphere of the colonial period, featuring beautiful stained-glass windows, colourful mosaics, Spanish heraldic symbols, window grills, and intricately worked ceilings.
Guests will enjoy the exclusive Colonial restaurant and La Sevillana, the unique bar and coffee shop. On the highest floor, a terrace bar and grill offers magnificent views of the city.

Hotel Inglaterra has 83 rooms. These one are located in a single building, they are distributed in three floors with access from 2 elevators.
Rooms at the Hotel Inglaterra are cosy than sleek, but given the age of the building it would be rude to expect a dazzling sophistication. The rooms come in all shapes and sizes and those facing the street are more spacious than those facing into the building’s courtyards.
Standard Room with colonial style furniture
There are 3 superior, 4 simple standard, 42 twin double, 24 double and 10 triples. 45 of them have balcony, offering a beautiful view of Colonial Havana.
Rooms in Hotel Inglaterra have a different kind of designs as for space, all furnished to the colonial style. Interiors are rather chintzy, with rose-strewn frills and flounces on curtains and bedspreads. The chandeliers are antique and the old built-in cupboards are endearing.
Superior Room
The modern furniture is slightly bashed about but the colonial rocking chairs found in some rooms are attractive. The original tiled floors are very pretty.
These rooms don't have double glasses, characteristic non convenient for some tourists, since this offers the possibility of interact directly with the environmental noise and the volubility of some Cubans.

"The Colonial" Restaurant a la carte
Specialises in international and Creole cuisine, Continental Type breakfast (7:00 am - 10:00 am), Lunch (12:00 m - 3:00 pm) and Dinner (7:00 pm - 10:00 pm), where you can always enjoy the live music from a piano player with international and typical Cuban melodies.
"El Louvre" Snack Bar
Offers service of hasty lunch and drinks in the Portal and in cybercafé (10:00 am - 10:00 pm).
“La Terraza” Bar Grill
Specialises in foods to Grill and drinks (5:00 pm - 1:00 am) except Tuesdays with live music of groups of Son and Salsa music just of our country, starting from the 9:00 pm. This place located in the fourth story of the Hotel has a capacity for 64 commensals.
"La Sevillana" Bar Cafeteria
Offers service the 24 hours and room service. It has a variety show, and it gives the possibility to witness through the TV, the principal sport and newsworthy events happened in the world.
